Asbestos' high resistance to heat or fire has provided it with a history of many practical uses. The improper maintenance, removal or demolition of asbestos materials or products, though, can pose serious health problems. This course will enable participants, who work in proximity to asbestos, to:
- Have a better understanding of asbestos
- Know the common types of asbestos
- Understand the classifications of asbestos
- Become familiar with the health risks of asbestos
- Be aware of the exposure risks
- Know common locations of asbestos
